Hiatus (?)

You know my blog is dying when there’s hardly ONE post this month.

So, I’m creating this ONE post before September ends. Actually I have a few things to blog about, just…lazy…*grin*

Wake me up when September ends~

For Sale: Olympus µ [mju:] 820

Since I’ve posted ads on hardwarezone.com.sg and clubsnap.com to sell my camera, I might as well do it here (although my blog doesn’t generate as much traffic, hehe).

I want to sell my now-old-toy.

I have owned it for about 2 years now. As you will notice in my blog and my other online profiles, I am not a camwhore, so the camera usage is actually quite low. At a scale from 0 to 10 (10 being in mint condition), I rank mine at 8. It is well maintained, although there is a little dent at the side because Sucker knocked it on something someday accidentally.

The package is as below:

Package Contents:

  • Digital Camera (LCD screen has screen protector)
  • 2pcs Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery
  • 1 External Charger and
  • 2pcs 1GB XD card
  • 1pcs 2GB XD card
  • USB cable
  • Original manual
  • CD
  • soft camera case

Warranty is until 30 Aug 2010 from Harvey Norman.

I also have a mini tripod and Adobe Photoshop Elements CD to be given away if you need. But I’m not including them here as I got it for free also. Original receipt will be provided.

I am looking at price around SGD250 (price is negotiable).

If you have read until here, there is a 50% chance that you might be interested. Please leave your comment here, or email me at meikit.ng [at] gmail [dot] com. I will be glad to arrange a timing for you to review the package.

If you are the other 50%, I trust that you are my true friend, so please help me spread the words far and wide. Rewards will be given to the one who successfully refers a buyer. *grin*

Have a nice day. And may my camera find a suitable owner soon…

P/S: My sis is the best! She helped me put on Low Yat forum too! Haha.

The Power To Change

HP launched a global environmental campaign “POWER TO CHANGE” just few days ago. Being part of the development team from its agency, I am actually very proud that the team (both HP and my agency) has the common aim of creating a better environment.

I am not an environmentalist. But because of this project, I have started to pay more attention to what I usually do. This campaign encourages people to turn off their computer when they are done for the day. Exactly the action that I don’t usually practice everyday! Haha. Well, it’s different now! Hehe. I have turned off my work laptop diligently everyday. I feel relieved and “powerful” that I AM actually playing a part (albeit small) to help make the world a greener place.

While reading findings and reports for this project, I have also noticed that environmental initiatives are not very popular and well received in the Asia region. Therefore I really hope that with this campaign, the community will be more receptive with the idea of “protecting the world”.

Really, I really, truly believe that everyone has the POWER TO CHANGE, and make the world a greener place.

Hop over to our campaign website to find out why we are doing this. There are also tips to teach us how to purchase and use IT items responsibly.

Below are some printscreens of the site for a sneak peek. And how good the desktop widget looks on my wallpaper! *grin*

Power To Change campaign website
You can view global statistics and see how each country fares in terms of turn off rate. Pretty interesting!

Power To Change widget
This Power To Change widget is free for download. It tracks the idle time of your computer and calculates your contribution correspondingly in terms of C02 reduced, energy saved and cars off the roads.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” - Margaret Mead

You have the POWER TO CHANGE.

5 Things You Don’t Know About Me!

  1. I LOVE scents in the form of perfumes, body showers, essential oils or just organic smells like rose or freshly-baked buns!
  2. I LOVE collecting beautiful stuffs! My most recent and on-going collection is P.E.R.F.U.M.E.B.O.T.T.L.E.S! I use them, I keep them. =)
  3. I LOVE patterns! I visit this blog to get my daily dose, also bought 2 books (Patterns: New Surface Design & Fashion Source Cutting Edge Patterns and Textures) for browsing pleasure!
  4. And now for some not-so-glam facts…

  5. I like to bite my finger nails when I am either nervous or bored. This habit has been with me since primary school. *grin*
  6. I think my hair is still a mess despite attempts to conquer all those fly-aways!

I am not sure why I create this list suddenly, just totally random. Yeah Shru, I am random for once…

Anyone care to share their “5 Things You Don’t Know About Me!”?

*hugz*

Note: This listing thing is actually inspired by my ex-colleagues who went for company trip early this month. Jia you at work!
