Beat the Reaper by Living Well

We don’t beat the reaper by living longer, we beat it by living well.

Believing…

Good things come from those who expect it and bad things leave those who leave it alone.

You know you are in deep need of moral support and strong willpower (to pick yourself up) when you start to read all these motivational sentences…

Why bother having a resume?

If you’re remarkable, amazing or just plain spectacular, you probably shouldn’t have a resume at all.

I’m not sure whether I can truly believe in this argument. But I don’t mind giving it a try since everything is turning online now. In fact, I have submitted a totally unconventional resume before, only to be turned down because I didn’t have the design qualifications (they thought I have).

Nonetheless, this article by Seth Godin is a good read - an inspiring one. It has spurred me to really think of what I want to achieve with my website.

Proactive

…our character, our basic identity, does not have to be hurt at all. In fact, our most difficult experiences become the crucibles that forge our character and develop the internal powers, the freedom to handle difficult circumstances in the future and to inspire others to do so as well.
from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, page 73

This quote actually has similar values as “My Cup of Tea“.

As year 2007 is coming to an end, I am reflecting… whether I’ve grown stronger and more resilient throughout my working days, and whether I’ve learnt valuable life lessons.

I think… I still can absorb more… and definitely need to.

Throw the sh*t at me!
