Now

Don’t look at the end result now.

More often than not, the end result is shaped by how you work on it now.

segnick

Happy (belated) birthday segnick!

It was the ME split that brought me closer to segnick. He is a very easy-going and patient guy, and that is why all of us like to tease him. In fact, I’ve never seen him losing his temper. If I am to trace back the day we started making fun of him, it should be our RHOC secretary year. He was working part-time while doing RHOC at that time. And he always dozed off during the meetings. Viduka would make him stand so that he could open his eyes. But he slept standing! And he was made the cleaning IC for the rest of his life after being one during Senior’s Camp. Hoho…

His best ability is to crack (lame) jokes. My small collection of jokes in this blog + a few corny comments are all contributed by him. I think I remember him saying that he gains inspiration from Stephen Chow’s movies.

And oh, I forgot to mention this interesting story where he was crowned “shit-stirrer*“! We were painting the glowing phoenix banner with white paint. He said he wanted to help and dipped in a brush. Little did we know that the brush still had daubs of black paint, and the white paint was contaminated. We wanted to scoop the black paint out when segnick started stirring the paint (with the same brush!) and said “Nevermind, stir it and it will mix with the white paint.”. All of us stared in horror when the white paint became darker. We stopped him halfway eventually, but the damage was already done. And naturally, the phoenix didn’t really glow properly under the UV light.

Other than all these small troubling but funny occassions, segnick is actually a very nice friend to hang out with. You want to play dota, he will play with you. You ask him to buy lunch, he buys bubble tea as well. You need his favour, he will definitely lend out his helping hand!

Psst girls…he is still single. Grab him now! *smile*
P/S: Sorry segnick, I can’t resist putting all your witty expressions. *grin*

*shit-stirrer [n]: Unintentional troublemaker in Cantonese “gao si guan”. Can be used as verb: shit-stirring.

Suuji wa dokushin ni kagiru

Ha! Don’t know what it means right?

It is the longer phrase of “Sudoku“!

It was a big hit a few months ago. Whenever I was in bookshops, I would see parents buying Sudoku workbooks for their children. I saw a bunch of rectangles and numbers and wondered what was that. But I was too resistant to find out.
One day while I was back in Ipoh, I was lingering in Popular bookshop, and thought I would go check out what Sudoku really is. So I read the rules. It is simple! Fill in numbers 1 to 9. No repeated numbers in a 3×3 box. No repeated numbers in a row or column. So I bought the most worthy book (RM8.80) - the most puzzles (100 pieces) with the cheapest price.

And now I am hooked! And for everyday I finished about 2 - 5 puzzles, depending on the amount of time left after surfing internet.

There are lots of online Sudoku sites too! And there is Sudoku widget for Yahoo! Widgets! Although I still prefer printed materials. =)

Learn everything about Sudoku here! Hope you will find it enjoyable too! =)

Such a Coincidence!

I’ve been reading Nick Pan’s blog since Karen started the links page. I am fascinated by his knowledge and comments on the internet and webdesign. And also his family! There are LOTS of his kids’ photos!

There is a Nick in my company. He is good in back-end content management system, and is always initiative and passionate about internet. He has a magnetic board and pinned up there are LOTS of his kids’ photos!

Little did I know that this Nick Pan is the Nick in my company! Such a coincidence!

I don’t know why I can’t see the resemblance. Maybe I always feel that online world and actual world is a bit different although I always read about Malaysian bloggers having gathering here and there.

Hmm..when can I meet my favourite bloggers? I wonder…They are all around the world!

Except Nick of course! =)
