Ipoh Trip

Erm…I know this is a long overdue post. But well, here it goes!

Actually there’s really nothing I can talk about Ipoh. Besides being my hometown, it is a place for good and cheap food. I’ve often mentioned this fact among my friends, especially when Devil tried to introduce us to good food in Singapore. This trip was certainly meant for eating only. And honestly speaking, I felt a little stressed. What if Ipoh food is not as good as I claimed? What if they don’t like the food I like?

The people who went were Devil, *periwinkle*, JalanKayu, segnick, SuCKeR and me. And of course, we were joined by my family! Sis came back too, and we had a tremendous time chit-chatting! =)

The food my parents brought the visitors to try were: Ipoh Old Town coffee, chicken and bean sprouts, dim sum, seafood, zhi char and fishball noodles.

Have the images made your saliva dropped already? Haha. Besides, we also had our fair share of shopping time at Kinta City and Ipoh Parade; ate Secret Recipe, Kenny Rogers and KFC. Seriously, everyone was indulging like crazy (maybe except JalanKayu *grin*)! Even my sister was taking the opportunity to ask me to buy this that for her.

I felt that the 3 days passed by very fast. In a glimpse of moment, it’s time to leave again. Honestly, I felt that I hadn’t spent enough time with my family, besides the night time chat in my parent’s room. We always did that last time because it’s a way to exchange stories and insights, and receive ‘advise’ from parents.

Going back home has always made me appreciate what I have now and motivate me to move forward. This trip is no exception.

To my friends: Hope you have enjoyed your stay in my hometown, and definitely the food! Aren’t my parents and sister friendly? Haha.

I Will Fight for You

Are you an anime fan? Have you watched FSN before?

To tell you the truth, I don’t even know what is FSN! And who the hell is this character?!

But I am proud to show off this piece of work. It’s done by boomboy and he has uploaded it onto AnimePaper where it is a platform for anime fans to showcase their creations. And as unbelievable as it may seem, his work was featured at the “Top Rated Today” category (scroll down and you will see) after a one day submission!

I must say, I am extremely proud of him and his work! And I bet he is proud of himself too! If not he won’t send me the link (to show off). Hehe.

Keep it up bro! And continue to churn out beautiful wallpapers for anime fans. But I am very sure I won’t be able to appreciate it. *grin*

Devil

Hmm…JalanKayu reminded me about Devil’s birthday banner, what a friend! I remember la! *grin*

I seriously couldn’t remember the first time I met Devil. I know we stayed in the same block in Year One. He’s this Singaporean ahbeng who was not active at all, and the only event I saw him was Mid Autumn Festival when our block had to do a performance. He’s the guitarist and that’s all I could remember about him.

After that, I remembered his RED hair during RHOC.

After after that, we somehow hanged out in the same group. DOTA, suppers, beer sessions, serious conversations…

He strikes me as someone who is very idealistic, perfectionist and systematic. I guess that is why he can program so well. He is one that is very serious and passionate with his interest (programming and gaming). He can be helpful if he has the mood. He can be quite whiny at times…I guess he just wants people to give him attention. *grin* He reads a lot and is a well informed person. Ask him anything and he will be able to provide you with an answer. He can be quite irritating at times, when he’s real serious with his decision, and that is why some people are irked off by his attitude. But I see him as a true friend whom you can depend on.

And…he’s attached. *wahahahaha*

Check out the devil and angel in him! Happy Birthday!

Sam Hui

My Winamp played this song just now, 半斤八两 by 许冠杰 (Sam Hui). And I suddenly recall how much I love his songs when I was young! His lyrics are witty and aptly describes how Hong Kongers are feeling during the 80’s (Is it the 80’s?).

Ah well, what I wanted to say is…now that I am working, I suddenly paid more attention to its lyrics, and found it very interesting indeed!

Here is the lyrics! The words used are a bit “Hong Kong”, but you should catch the gist of it. For my friends who not well versed in Mandarin, go LEARN Mandarin! *grin*
