Our anniversary didn’t go as planned.
Initially, I planned to “explore” Dempsey Hill with Sucker - having meals at Barracks/PS Cafe (as recommended in “she bakes and she cooks“), popping by Red Sea Gallery, visiting Go-Go Bambini - basically just immersing ourselves in some greenery and hopefully breathing in some fresh air. Somehow I couldn’t contain my eagerness and shared the news with him. The plan somehow changed to explore Arab Street or Haji Lane areas.
Then, we received invitation to our senior’s little baby girl’s first month baby shower. And since both of us love hanging out with friends, we agreed to go and opted for a simple celebration instead on Saturday.
And simple it was.
We didn’t plan what we wanted to eat, somehow wandered to Suntec and ended up in Tony Roma’s. The food was not fantastic. Sucker said Morton’s steak (of course la! How to beat Morton’s steak?!) and Cafe Cartel’s pork ribs is still the best. I couldn’t share his sentiments because I don’t take beef and not a pork lover. But my salmon was really a bit disappointing. But the dessert was nice. We ordered a chocolate pudding with ice cream, and we ate to our heart’s content. =) Then we dropped by Durty Nelly and had some drinks with devil and gang (with Sucker secretly agonising over the fact that he hadn’t brought me any anniversary gift. Hehe).

The highlight (OK my self-proclaimed highlight because I wanted to see his surprised look) came when I gave him the present when we reached home. He “WAH!” then started to gingerly open it after I urged him to.

The dude concentrating hard to open his present.

On Sunday, which is our actual anniversary day, I finally got a proper light weight portable hard disk - Maxtor OneTouch™ 4 Mini. Practical right? Sucker is hopeless in giving surprises. Hehe.
And the rest of the day we pretty much spent in our senior’s house ogling at his cute baby, stuffing ourselves with food (very nice 猪脚醋!) and catching up with each other.
Well, the above pretty much sums up how we spent our anniversary together this time.
Hope to celebrate more anniversaries with him.
Hmm…it’s already the 2nd week into our 4th year! =D
