My First “Walking Expedition” in Singapore April 12
Had a crazy “walking expedition” last Thursday night with Sucker, cc and ll. It started out with the “French” couple wanting to eat French cuisine at French Stall at Serangoon Road. Then spontaneously, Sucker suggested we should explore Serangoon Road.
And then we walked and walked and walked…
The longer we walked, the thirstier we got. For every 7-11, McDonald’s and vending machine that we passed by, we didn’t stop to get a drink. It became too hot and humid for us, so we set a target - to chill out at an air-cond place. Then cc saw Sim Lim Tower, so we decided to walk towards Bugis.
By the time we reached, it was almost 11pm. Most of the shops were closed, and we were not willing to compromise with McDonald’s because we passed by a few along the way! Sucker and cc wanted a beer so we didn’t go to Starbucks either. Therefore, for the first time in my life, we had a drink at InterContinental lounge! The ambiance was nice and quiet, the chairs were comfortable, but most importantly, the air-cond was cooling! Just nice for a group of tired-of-walking and sweaty people! We had a good time chilling out, and stayed until about 230am although the lounge closed at 1am.
Take a look at the route we’ve taken! Anyone has a clue how far we walked?

This is really an unexpected experience and I enjoyed it a lot! Spontaneity always makes me feel young and energetic, although I must admit I’m not that young anymore! Hoho~
